How a rebrand for an innovative DC developer piqued national attention.
Ditto Residential is a property development company in Washington, DC. As one of the area's premier residential forces, Ditto's growing reputation as a detail-oriented developer was a perfect fit for our culture.
They approached us to rethink how their brand relates in the digital space. What came of our partnership has been an industry-leading experience for builders in the DC market and beyond.
The Must Haves
Identity Creation Web UI/UX Design & Development Content Strategy & Messaging Digital Marketing Campaign Photo & Video Content
The Ditto identity is as simple and understated as the modern lines in their homes. We opted for a no-nonsense bold typeface with a stark red period to punctuate the playful name.
We designed collateral material including business cards, stationary, sales presentations, and some serious signage you can spot if you happen to meandering around our nation's Capital.
We set out to create an experiential design that visually interacts with the user to assemble the Ditto Residential story. Using actual architectural renderings of Oslo, one of the company's most notable properties, our concept of an immersive digital experience was built. A silent video montage located in the header engages the user as soon as they land on the page. An upgraded gallery includes individual projects details, vibrant imagery and showcases past work.
To announce the launch of the new site we delivered a digital marketing campaign that reflects Ditto's clean, modern essence. We designed a custom styled Mailchimp newsletter entitled "INHABIT." The Ditto team modifies and sends out an updated version of INHABIT monthly to keep clients and potential buyers in the loop on project announcements and company happenings.
We wanted the viewer to experience the unique vision, passion and design philosophy underlying Ditto's work. Several months of pre-production planning with the Ditto team allowed us to create a moving storyboard that would best capture those elements. Striking lifestyle footage within the properties edited to compelling musical score and candid voiceover by Martin Ditto brought the brand's narrative to life.
